Charlot ,The Little Tramp. Charles and Hannah Chaplin was his parents , who was working as music hall entertainer. The first public appearance of Charlie Chaplin was a stage song which he was sung due to mother illness. At the age of 11 his second show was in “Giddy Ostende” at London’s Hippodrome. During the age of 17 to 24 he worked with Fred Karno’s English vaudeville troupe and came to New York in 1910 while was just age of 21 .November 1913 he had signed a contract with Mack Sennett at Keystone and that was his first step in Hollywood . His first movie was in 1914 named Making a Living .In the year he had made near about 35 movies and moves to Essanay in 1915 and did 14 more . He moved to Mutual for 12 two-reelers in 1916 and 1917. He had rewarded as first special award in the first Oscar awards. He was rewarded for for versatility and genius in writing, acting, directing and producing. The Circus (1928). In 1943 he was accused of fathering a child; the papers made much of the scandal, but it was proved in a court trial that he was not the father. The same year he entered his fourth marriage, to Oona Chaplin, daughter of playwright Eugene O’Neill. He was father of eight children.Due to political and tax problem he had left United states and shifted in Switzerland in 1952. He had published his memories in 1964. In 9172 he had git another Oscar award for his life time achievement. He was rewarded as name Knight Commander of the British Empire in 1975 . He was died in 25 December 1977, Vevey, Switzerland due to natural cause and old age.
